Hi, I’m Scott.I’m an independent Financial Planner and CFP® professional in Calgary. My job is to help you understand your money, make a plan for where you want to go, and be the person you can call when life inevitably changes along the way.

A little perspective

You’ve built something.
Now let’s give it some direction.

A few accounts. Some decisions to make. A life you’re building. Let’s make sure your money is helping you get there.

How it comes together

The money.
The plan.
Your actual life.

The portfolio serves the plan.
The plan serves the life.

01

Make sense of what you have.

We look at your savings, investments, debts, and the decisions on your mind. Together, we turn all those financial pieces into one clear picture.

02

Know what to do next.

You get a written financial plan with clear, practical next steps: what’s working, what needs attention, and what to do next.

03

Build habits that carry you forward.

A plan only works if you can live with it. I’ll help you build good financial habits, stay grounded when markets get uncomfortable, and adjust the plan as your life changes.

What’s the money for?

A good plan makes room
for living, too.

Sometimes the answer is saving more. Sometimes it’s realizing you can afford to enjoy more of what you’ve already built. We’ll work through the numbers and the tradeoffs, so you can make those decisions with confidence.

Home & everyday life

“Can we buy the house
and still do the other stuff?”

Bring the whole wish list.

Work & possibilities

“What if I wanted
to work a little less?”

Let’s explore what that would take.

Saving & spending

“Can we take the trip
without the guilt?”

That’s a planning question, too.

The person you’ll be calling

Financial Planner.
Also, a normal person.

I’m Scott. I believe everyone deserves a financial plan and the confidence to understand their own money.

I genuinely enjoy this stuff: taking a bunch of accounts, decisions, goals, and questions and figuring out how they all fit together. But you shouldn’t have to enjoy it as much as I do.

My approach is straightforward: I’ll explain what we’re doing and why, tell you what I think, and make sure you understand the decisions we’re making together. When life changes or the markets get weird, I’m the person you can call.

Before we meet

You can start
right where you are.

Is my situation worth talking to someone about?

If you’re wondering whether you’re on track, weighing a financial decision, or simply want a clearer picture of how everything fits together, that’s a good reason to talk. We can figure out where you are and whether working together would be useful.

What can you help me with?

Most financial questions don’t fit neatly into one box. We can talk about investing, retirement, saving, debt, major purchases, taxes, or simply whether you’re on track. My job is to look at how the pieces fit together and help you decide what to do next.

Do I need to understand all of this first?

No. Understanding the choices and reasoning is part of my job. Ask questions, take your time, and tell me when something isn’t clear. You should understand your financial plan without needing to make finance your hobby.

What happens when I reach out?

We’ll arrange a conversation about your life, your questions, and what you’d like help with. You’ll have space to ask about how I work, and we’ll decide together whether there’s a useful next step.

That’s why we’re talking.
